Many argued stating that we have taken up piracy as an official policy...
Not so i say! and for you nay sayers out there who read this, please follow carefully...
Having now passed my Fifth year in eve i think back to when i was back in high sec first starting off as a podling. Most people who informed me about low sec is that it was a haven for pirates. Having live in low and in null for 70% of that 5 years, i believe that this is a incorrect stigma. Over the life of a podling, one comes to realize especially if you are a true combat specialist, then you will find fights where ever you can and low sec is fair game. But is this piracy or seeking a decent challenge? Depends imho on what you are hunting.
Most of my time spent in low sec is attacking others who are either seeking a good fight or forget what sec system they are in.
Have i attacked unsuspecting haulers before?
Absolutely.
Is this a form a piracy?
Most definitely.
Have i ever felt bad about doing so?
obviously not especially since i do it again and again.
Anyone who plays this game for long periods of time grow to understand and embrace that if you enter a region where you can be shot then it is part of the risk from being in said region. So if you see me sitting on a gate when you jump in and i engage you, then you probably should expect a good fight from me.
If you die and curse me out for having WTFPWN you, then you probably should not have been there in the first place. Does that make me a bad person? does that make me a pirate? Or does that make me someone who is always on the search for good fights.
Our corp, our alliance follows the rule if it can be a engaged then it will be engaged. And in order to ensure that people like me have something to engage, we are always on the lookout for good fights.
And if someone does not have standings with us, they will be fired upon and that is the meaning of NBSI.
Do pirate corps exist?
Yes absolutely.
Are there players who would call themselves pirates?
Most definitely.
Does that make us a pirate corp?
Obviously not.
So when you are sitting floating in a pod after engaging one of our fleets, remember, it's not that you where in an expensive ship flying through in the wrong system. It's most certainly not that you jump into our fleets at the worse possible time. Hell it's not even that we do not like you. Not at all! We want you to come back!
No no no, it's none of the above at all!
When you sit in that thinly constructed pod thinking "wtf just happened?" as a missile flies up the tail pipe, please remember this...
It was nothing personal... It wasn't piracy... It was just policy...
